Legacy Finance privacy policy

Privacy Policy

Your financial data is yours — we just help you manage it. We collect only what’s needed to run our tools, never sell your data, and protect it with bank-level encryption. Why hide the details?

How we handle your information

We keep this simple. You need confidence before you enter income, invoices, or tax estimates into an online accounting tool, so this policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what stays off limits.

  • Account details, financial data, and device info.

We use these to sign you in, generate invoices, calculate tax, and keep your plan comparison accurate. Would a finance app work without them?

  • Service updates and product improvements.

We may send essential notices and use aggregated usage patterns to make the experience smoother, faster, and easier to navigate.

  • Never sold, never traded.

Data sharing is limited to contracted providers who help us deliver secure accounting tools. No ad-tech detours. No sale of your data.

Information we collect

To power invoicing, tax calculations, and financial planning, we may collect account details, transaction data you choose to enter, and basic device and browser information. We also keep technical logs for security and performance. Nothing fancy. Just enough to make the tools work well.

We don’t ask for data we don’t need. If a field isn’t required for the service you’re using, you’ll know it. That’s part of accounting data protection done properly, isn’t it?

Examples: name, email address, invoice line items, tax inputs, IP address, browser type, and usage timestamps.

How we use your data

We use your information to create invoices, estimate taxes, compare plans, and keep your account in sync across devices. We may also use it to improve performance, detect fraud, and send service notices when something changes in your account.

Need a refund-ready invoice in under a minute? Or a cleaner estimate before the quarterly deadline? This is the data path that makes that possible.

Data sharing

We share data only with providers who help us operate the platform, such as secure hosting, payment processing, analytics, and support tooling. Those providers are bound by contract and may use the data only to provide their services to us.

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it out. And we don’t allow third parties to use it for their own marketing. Simple boundaries. Stronger trust.

Your rights

You can request access, deletion, correction, and data portability where applicable under US state privacy laws, including CCPA-style rights. You can also ask questions about how your information is handled or request details about the data we keep.

Send your request to privacy@legacyfinance.com. We’ll review it and respond as required by law. Not a black box. Not a maze.

We built this around user data security from the start. What does that mean in practice? Clear controls, regular testing, and technical safeguards that are easy to explain and hard to bypass.
